Dark Abstract Landscape

Charcoal Abstract Landscapes

A few weeks ago I had a go at drawing some Charcoal Abstract Landscapes. It had been quite a while since I had done work like this. My first few attempts were pretty awful, and I was ready to give up, but I was determined this time. I put the Music on Louder (Twas Harry Nilsson via Spotify), took a deep breath; and worked. The great thing about Charcoal is that you can easily remove, smudge, rub out, go over again, remove again. My strategy was to do this until I had something I was happy with.

Sure enough, with determination I had created something that I didn’t want to screw up and throw away. With renewed vigour I created more pictures, in the zone now. My Mojo was back.
I have since tried recreating with Paint but not with quite the same success, nevertheless I will keep trying. Hopefully I can post the results here soon.
You can view the full set of Pics in my Artwork Portfolio, you can also purchase prints here at ImageKind. Originals also for sale please contact me directly.
